About Rosie Taylor
My
name is Rosie Taylor & I’m
a Master / Teacher of Ma’at
Sekhem (Egyptian
Reiki), Seichim,
Usui Reiki & Magnified Healing.
I also have a Diploma
in Crystal
Healing as
well as being the author
of the Mythicca
Meditations.
I have a Treatment & Workshop room at my home, close to Mapperley Top, in Nottingham, & also offer a mobile service for both people & animals. I’m fully insured to practice Complementary Therapies.
I’ve been married since 1982 & we have 2 sons; my interest in Complementary Therapies began in May 2003. The time between then & now seems to have passed in the proverbial blink of an eye; I could never have imagined, back then, all that I’ve experienced, & all that has occurred in those packed few years, let alone be in a position to say that I’ve released my first double CD!
Several
people have asked me,
“How did it all begin?”
or, “When did you start
on this Path?” There
is no short answer,
suffice to say that
after a lengthy series
of weird & inexplicable
events, which made me
doubt my sanity, I decided
that I couldn’t ignore
these rapidly increasing
strange phenomena, any
longer. I sought advice & enrolled,
with some trepidation,
on a psychic development
course, whereupon a
whole new world began
to unfold. A world I’d
always known was there
but, due to peer pressure, & other
things, had pushed to
the far recesses of
my mind. I’m eternally
grateful to Michelle
Saxton for being my
primary “Gatekeeper”
into this world.
“First
people will deny a
thing, then they will
belittle it, then they
will decide that it
had been known long
ago.”
(Hamlet’s Mill” – 1969).
Courses
in Usui
Reiki, Tibetan
Reiki, Ma’at
Sekhem (Egyptian
Reiki) Crystal
Therapy, Magnified
Healing,
Animal Healing, Wicca,
Pleiadian Lightwork & BodyTalk
swiftly followed with
a variety of teachers
throughout the UK. Once
I became Master / Teachers
of the vibrational energies,
I began to write my
own meditations, which
I needed for attuning
others into the energies,
as well as using them
in other Workshops.
People commented on
how enjoyable & different
my meditations were.
I really enjoyed writing & delivering
them.
I’ve always had a great affinity with animals & have owned numerous cats from when I was just 3 years old; we currently have 7. I’ve also owned a dog, six mice & 3 horses. I wanted to be able to treat my own cats (along side conventional veterinary treatment) several of whom are quite rickety! The knowledge & skills that I gained have definitely helped several of my own felines & it’s been wonderful to see other people’s animals benefit too. The placebo effect doesn’t apply to creatures, so when they show an improvement (which boosts their quality of life) it’s a wonderful reward, strengthening my faith in the modalities.
I found, as a side-effect, mainly from the Ma’at Sekhem (Egyptian Reiki) that my intuition has increased greatly. On the 21st day of mandatory self-healing, which fell on Hallow ‘Een, The Feast Day of Sekhmet, one of the Goddesses involved in this energy, I found that I was able to “tune-in” empathically to people or animals, on a physical level. This meant that I could “feel”, on my body, where their problems were; extremely helpful when dealing with animals, as they don’t speak to us in the conventional way! As I progressed further in this modality, & also studied Pleiadian Lightwork (Full Sensory Perception, level 1) this ability deepened & strengthened; I can now tune into animals & people’s emotions to a certain degree. This is helpful as we don’t always realise when, or where on our person, we are carrying, or storing, an emotion.
I also began studying for Higher Cert of Education at the Nottingham Adult Education Centre (Combined Studies). This introduced me to modules such as, “An Introduction to Counselling”, “Managing Conflict”, & various self-development courses too, one of which was concerning the benefits of meditation. I also took this opportunity for further study into the Ancient Egyptian way of life; their beliefs, philosophies, healing (including homeopathy, herbalism, vibrational healing & totally holistic approach) early history & culture. Other modules included, “The History of Medicine”, “Emotions: Friend or Foe”, “Brain & Self: Conflicts & Communication”, “Myth & Magic” & “The History of Magic”, as well as a brief look at Archaeology in general.
Despite experiencing many seemingly inexplicable strange phenomena, I still sought a logical explanation, or at least some answers, to my ever increasing list of questions about my rapidly unfolding new Path. Some of my modules were very factual, historic & science based while, in contrast, others were philosophical & esoteric; it was surprising & fascinating to see how many parallels I could draw between the two “worlds” & how these two “worlds” often collide.
When
I reflect on all that
I have learned & experienced,
I can’t believe how
much has happened into
such a short space of
time, or how much I
have progressed along
my Path. I have developed
spiritually, mentally & emotionally
- which has made my
life so much richer
- & am
continuing to do so!
Apart from the physical
benefits, it’s given
me greater insight into
myself, others & life
in general. A couple
of the books I’ve read
with great interest
are Dr. Muata Ashby’s, “Egyptian
Yoga – The Philosophy
of Enlightenment.” Volumes
1 & 2.
He translates some of
the Philosophies of
Ma’at; the Ancient Egyptian
Goddess of Karma, Truth,
Justice & Balance,
who’s feather is weighed
against the heart of
the deceased at Judgment.
There are many memorable
quotes but amongst those
which I particularly
like is, “All
things are part of me, & I
of them; I’m not in
the Universe, it is
the Universe that is
in me.” For
me, that describes the
enormity of All That
Is; the “bigger picture”
is just so vast, yet
we can be in touch with
it, continuously; maybe
we’ve just forgotten
how in this busy, technological
age. Ashby reminds us,
with another quote:
“Anything
built by humanity
for its glorification
will eventually fall;
only that which is
built according to
the Great Law of the
Cosmos will transcend.”
Wishing you, & yours, Peace & Sunshine,
Rosie Taylor
The
Land of Mythicca is
really inside us all & we
can travel, within ourselves,
to connect with our
own wisdom, to learn
to know ourselves better & find
inner peace along the
way. The added appeal
is that each meditation
is a little “adventure”,
so children can enjoy
them too, together with
both inexperienced & experienced
meditators. The fact
that there are so many
characters & regions
symbolises that one
can’t function as a
whole, until all our
“parts” are integrated & working
together.
