So, What Is Energy Healing?
It’s based on the premise that there is a Higher Power but, unlike religions, it doesn’t attempt to identify it. It’s a safe, non-invasive, holistic way of restoring balance to the physical, emotional, mental & spiritual aspects of the person, by stimulating the body’s natural healing abilities.It supports conventional medicine, working along side it.

Reiki is Japanese for "Universal Life Force". Egyptian Reiki (thought to be the fore-runner) is known as Sekhem. It is mentioned in ancient papyri & in temple carvings.
We can learn to access this “life force” or energy, channel it, & then direct it, through the palms, onto any other living thing. It then balances, harmonizes & restores our energy systems.

It’s natural & drug free! Anyone can be “attuned” to do this in a weekend “Workshop”, by a Sekhem or Reiki, Master / Teacher, such as me.

Where did it come from?

Reiki originated in Tibet thousands of years ago &, before that, in Egypt,where it was known as Sekhem. In Egypt, the philosophies of the Goddess, Ma’at, were also taught &, in many ways, can be likened to Buddhism. Ma’at is the Goddess of Karma, Truth, Justice & Balance. Her philosophies have been re-introduced, by my Ma’at Sekhem Master, into this particular way of teaching; this is one way Ma’at Sekhem differs from Sekhem alone. Contact me for more details.

Sekhem vibrates at a high frequency, incorporating both Reiki & a 3rd energy, Seichim, now associated with Eastern Goddess, Kwan Yin.  It is taught over 5 levels & Reiki is taught over 3.

How Can  Ma’at Sekhem or Reiki Benefit People & Animals?
The increasing pace of modern living drains our energy, & vitality.  Energy Healing helps relieve stress & tension.

The Energies are gentle, yet profound, & may be used safely by all ages, including newborn, pregnant mothers, surgical patients, the frail & the elderly, regardless of their state of health. It can enhance everyday life, & regular sessions help to ward-off illness & fatigue by strengthening the immune system & enhancing the lymph system’s efficiency at removing toxins.

Psychologically, 30mins treatment of Ma’at Sekhem is equivalent to 2 hours of sleep; this experience alone makes energy healing a very effective stress reliever. Treatment is enhanced if one can rest for a while afterwards, & drink plenty of water, to help the body detox (usually, animals do this instinctively). Be responsive to the needs of your body, e.g. resting if tired, & allow the energy to continue its work after the session ends. The beneficial effects may be felt for several days.

What does a treatment feel like?
The client lies on a couch, fully clothed, in a peaceful environment. Sometimes, one may feel a coldness, pulses of energy, or a rush of energy through the body; often, one will feel a pleasant warmth on the area that is being treated. This deeply warming relaxation will enable energy blockages, within the body, to be released, which can result in the desire to swallow continually, cough or sneeze, or a rumbling stomach. Sometimes people relax enough to fall asleep, whilst others may feel nothing at all, during the treatment itself, but this does not mean that it hasn’t worked.
